Cody, I enjoyed reading (and listening to) this post.

It's an insightful, simple-to-digest masterclass. I could relate to many of the points you mentioned, and I thought of sharing a personal story that supports your point.

I realized that the easiest way to know if you have cured your childhood traumas is to examine your phobias. I have feared heights for as long as I can remember. I decided to reflect on when this fear first manifested in my life, and I was able to pinpoint that incident when I was maybe 4 years old. I won't go into the details, but the wound manifested into a blueprint (as you named it) that made me a perfectionist. I wanted to improve and protect myself from people. Once I understood this, I accepted the incident, my childhood, and those who played a significant role in shaping my phobia. What happened next was that my fear of heights almost disappeared. Not in a way that I can do mountain climbing, but at least I am not afraid to ride a ferris wheel.

The effect on my life has been profound. I now work in a calm and centered manner, free from hustle and stress, allowing me to achieve more and grow. I agree with your perspective that core childhood wounds are significant relational traumas that need urgent attention.

Great post!

So happy to hear you've done some of this work with yourself! Was this on your own? Or what healing modalities worked best for you?

Thank you, Cody. This was truly my own approach. I concentrated on my spiritual well-being, placing special emphasis on the importance of grounding and staying present. These practices support me in surrendering and reducing resistance. As is often the case with spiritual matters, it's challenging to articulate the experience, but I believe this method has been the most beneficial for me. I'm confident that your insights into neuroscience will enhance my understanding of the underlying mechanisms.

This is an excellent and helpful post. I noticed your references are a little bit older, between 9 and 33 years old, and I was just curious if you had any current sources that particularly speak to you that you'd recommend?
